About Plaza Tikal

TikalHola and Welcome to Plaza Tikal!  Owner, Chef Julio, opened the restaurant in October 2016 and received such a warm welcome from the wonderful town of Bernardsville, as well as visitors from neighboring towns.  Chef Julio has been working in a variety of area restaurants for over 20 years. His natural love of organic cooking inspired him to fulfill his dream to open Plaza Tikal.

Chef Julio takes great care to use fresh, local products and is meticulous in his food preparation.  For instance, the pork in the Taco al Pastore that you are enjoying is marinated and seasoned for three days for optimal flavor.  Also, the Chicken Enchilada with Mole Sauce is not your typical Mole as it is made in-house with over 20 different ingredients.  Chef Julio’s culinary creativity is evident daily with mouth-watering specials. You might get a glimpse of Chef Julio and his crew working hard in the kitchen every day, ensuring that every meal is cooked to perfection.

The bright, festive atmosphere of Plaza Tikal is inviting and perfect for lunch and dinner with family, friends and colleagues, and the upbeat Mariachi music piped throughout the restaurant will put you in a celebratory mood.

We welcome you to bring your own tequila, wine or beer to enjoy with your meal.

Outdoor dining is also available in pleasant weather.
